Key Responsibilities

The Designer has the following key responsibilities:

• Project Management
  • Setting up finishes Schedule
  • Approve finishes Schedule
  • Collate all project documents
  • Shop drawing process:
    • Subcontractor
      • Submit SD (shop drawing) request to our subcontractor
      • Review SD design
      • Submit SD to the builder with the program
      • Make any changes to the SD
      • Submit IFC & approve for production
    • Internally
      • Draw full project shop drawings
      • Submit SD to the builder with the program
      • Make any changes to the SD
      • Submit IFC & approve for production
• Reporting
  • Attend weekly meetings
  • Provide weekly updates on
    • Job-status of work in progress
    • Issues with a shop drawing

Core Competencies

• Has a comprehensive understanding of the joinery industry
• Experience in interior design, understanding interior intents
• Ability to read construction plans & shop drawing
• Understand the Architectural plan & design intent
• Knowledge of using AutoCAD software
