Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements, hotel, casino and marketing strategies, into short, medium and long term IT strategic plans within the resort.
- Review all proposals for capital and operational technology expenditures throughout the resort and ensure all such projects are successfully implemented with maximum return on investment and operational efficiencies.
- Review all information technology and telecommunications contracts and ensure all vendors meet contractual agreements.
- Maintain and ensure all resort communication access including internet, intranet, a/v television, VOIP/telephone/PBX, property-wide Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile communications in order to meet the needs of a 5 star resort and its internal and external guest expectations.
- Manage end user/help desk support team.
- Manage Application support team.
- Manage Development and Network support teams.
- Maintain, document and monitor all computer systems and software security access and to prevent inappropriate access as well as prevent external intrusion in accordance with industry-wide standards.
Desired Technical Skills
- Broad understanding of Microsoft desktop and cloud based applications.
- Broad understanding of network Infrastructures and topology including WAN, LAN, RAS and Wireless design Broad understanding of the use, support and structure of relational databases.
- Broad understanding of telecommunications protocols including VOIP/PBX.
- Broad understanding of Microsoft server Active Directory and Exchange structure, setup and functionality
- The ability to develop IT project management methodologies and effectively communicates these to both resort operations stakeholders and third party vendors alike.
- Broad understanding of resort hospitality business applications including Enterprise Resource Planning and Property Management Systems.
- Bachelor of Science degree or technical certifications in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or other Information Technology related field from an accredited university or technical school is preferred
- 5 plus years of experience in a department leadership role in the hospitality industry, casino resort preferred
- Demonstrated proven ability in the management, development and implementation of technology in a 5 Star integrated resort/casino hotel environment
- Experience in a leadership role that involved strategic planning and implementation of hospitality related technology.
- Formal internationally recognized qualifications in telecommunication technologies or proven success and hands on experience with these technologies.
- Working knowledge of Resort Casino Property Management Systems
- Able to perform strategic planning and a proven track record of successfully implementing strategic plans at a large-scale integrated resort.
- A demonstrated ability to monitor and measure successful performance of an information technology department’s operational efficiencies using industry standard key performance indicators (KPI’s).
